Bill
G. Rodgers, 87, of Lumberton, died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Pine Arbor,
Silsbee. He was born on October 7, 1927, in Beaumont, to Leola Ruby Rodgers and
Frank C. Rodgers. Bill was a retired chief of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s
Department.
He
is survived by his wife, Jerry Ann Rodgers of Lumberton; son, Bob Rodgers and
his wife, Jan, of Junction; step-sons, Terry Davis and his wife, Sandy, of
Lufkin; Doug Davis and his wife, Diann, of Beaumont; and Vince Davis and his
wife, Jennifer, of Beaumont; and numerous grand-step-children.
He
is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Rodgers, and son, Billy G. Rodgers,
Jr.
A
gathering of Mr. Rodgers’ family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00
pm., Monday, December 29, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
His graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at
Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, Beaumont
