Chad Stewart

Chad Stewart, 34, of Winnie, died Saturday, December 20, 2014. He was born on March 20, 1980, in Beaumont, to Cynthia Nunez Stewart and Alvin Stewart.

He was a dedicated police officer with the city of Mont Belvieu, enjoyed cars, motorcycles, the beach, and going to the gym. Chad will be remembered for his passion for law enforcement, his smile, charm and sense of humor. A devoted father, he always put his family first.

Survivors include his wife of eight years, Amy Stewart; son, Dalton Ray Stewart; daughter, Madison Leigh Stewart; and mother, Cynthia Stewart, all of Winnie; brother, Clay Matlock and his wife, Caitlin, of LaPorte; sisters, Sheri Hemphill and her husband, David, of Anahuac and Kim Kellis and her husband, Johnny, of Sweeney; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He will be especially missed by his faithful four legged companions, Thor, Bella, Duke, and KiKi.

A gathering of Mr. Stewart’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014 at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 120 East Pear, Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
