January 8, 1969 - December 17, 2014
Michael Todd
“Mike” Fisher, 45, of Lumberton, died at Christus Hospital - St. Elizabeth in
Beaumont on Wednesday, December 17, 2014.
Mike was born January 8, 1969, to Mary Ann and David Lee Fisher.
Mike was a
loving family man. His children were his pride and joy. He cherished and loved
them dearly. He was always so proud of his two big strapping boys Colton, 19,
and Brock, 17, and his little girl Shelby, 12, was always the twinkle in his
eye. Mike was also a dedicated son to his mother, Mary Ann and his father,
David Lee. He was always there for them and always showed
great love for them. Mike was a wonderful and steadfast brother to his brother,
Chris, and you couldn’t ask for a more caring nephew and cousin than Mike.
Mike was a
friendly man and he had many friends who loved him. Mike never met a stranger
and he came by it naturally. When he was a little boy, on family vacations, he
would follow his daddy around the camp grounds, both of them visiting with all
of the fellow campers like they had been neighbors forever.
Mike was a
police officer by profession for nearly twenty years. Many of those years he
served the community of Lumberton as a Lumberton Police Officer. He loved and
took pride in being a police officer. He loved his community, and they loved
him. He was known as “Big Mike” or “Fish” to many in the community and his
fellow officers.
Mike is survived
by his children, Colton Michael Fisher, Brock Stanley Fisher, and Shelby Rose
Fisher of Lumberton; by his mother, Mary Ann Fisher of Lumberton; and his
brother, David Christian “Chris” Fisher, of Beaumont.
Mike is preceded
in death by his father, David Lee Fisher.
