Floyd "Jim" James Forrest

Floyd James “Jim” Forrest, 68, of Boerne, formerly of Port
Arthur, died Saturday, November 29, 2014. He was born on August 27, 1946, in
Port Arthur, to Hazel Theresa Wiltz and Floyd Joseph Forrest.
Jim grew up in Port Arthur and graduated Thomas Jefferson
High School. He was a United States Army veteran and had served a full twenty
year military career as an Army Aviator retiring in 1996 as a Chief Warrant
Officer 4.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-six years, Sharon
Forrest of Boerne; daughter, Michelle Hickey and her husband, Brendan, of
Baytown; son, Chris Forrest and his wife, Lynn, of Harker Heights;
grandchildren, Jacquelyn and her husband, Christopher; Molly; Mackenzie;
Andrew; and Rachel; great-granddaughter, Isla; and sister-in-law, Brenda
Chambless and her husband, Jaime, of Nederland. He was preceded in death by his
parents and sisters, Helen Landry and JoAnn Thompson.
A gathering of Mr. Forrest’s family and friends will be from
5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North
12th Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday,
December 3, 2014, at Broussard’s, Nederland. A family graveside service will be
held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia.
