Dorthy "Dot" Jean Walker

Dorthy Jean “Dot” Walker passed away at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, November 22, 2014. Dot was born in Call, Texas on December 15, 1929 to John and Etoila Loyd. Dot married Robert “Bob” Walker on June 1, 1947. He preceded her in death July 16, 2000.

She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Jones and her husband, Norm, of Lago Vista; Debbie McCoy and her husband, Brad, of Duncan, Oklahoma; and Karen Walker of Groves; grandsons, Jamie McCoy and his wife, Kristin, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jonathan McCoy and his wife, Candice, of Edmond, Oklahoma; four great-grandchildren, Cooper and Peter McCoy of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lincoln and Vivian McCoy of Edmond, Oklahoma, numerous nieces and nephews and special friends.

Thanks to Dr. Scott McKinney and staff, Dr. Manesh Patel and staff, and the nurses on 4SE at St. Elizabeth for the wonderful care.

A gathering of Mrs. Walker’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 24, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at First United Methodist Church CFC, Nederland, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery, Port Neches.
