Florence Lively, 93, of Nederland, died Monday, November 17,
2014, at Harbor Hospice House, Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of the
area, she was born on October 15, 1921, in Port Arthur, to Yvonne and Edwin
Arnaud. Florence will be remembered as an excellent cook and seamstress. She
was a loving mother, grandmother, and a devoted catholic.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-four years, Dalton
Lively of Nederland; daughters, Barbara Guinn and her husband, Greg, of Conroe
and Dru Zuniga and her husband, Sam, of Houston; grandchildren, Jamie Coker and
her husband Travis, of Nederland and Jessica Williams and her husband, R.D., of
Bridge City; great-grandchildren, Haley Coker, Trent Coker, Reese Coker, Cora
Williams, and Carly Williams; sisters, Lillie Nacol of Lafayette, Louisiana and
Renella Primeaux of Port Neches; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Calvin
and Eddie Arnaud; sister, Shirley DeRuiter; and grandson, Jed Bass.
A gathering of Mrs. Lively’s family and friends will be from
5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505
North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be at 11:30
a.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Broussard’s, Nederland, with interment to
follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
