Brian Eldridge McBride,
58, of Winnie, died Saturday, November 15, 2014. A native and lifelong resident
of the area, he was born on October 7, 1956, in Beaumont, to Eileen Phalen
McBride and Louie “Bill” McBride.
Brian farmed rice for
several years before working at AutoZone for 16 years as a manager. He was a
member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Louis Catholic Church. Brian was very proud of being an active member
of AA and was celebrating his 20th year of sobriety. He was a devoted father and husband and was
very proud to be PawPaw to two little girls he adored.
Survivors include his
wife, Debra McBride of Winnie; daughter, Heather Thibodeaux and her husband,
Kenny, of League City; grandchildren, Kaylie Thibodeaux and Kelcie Thibodeaux;
mother, Eileen Phalen McBride; sister, Kathleen Ferguson and husband, Glenn;
brother, Louie W. McBride, Jr. and his wife, Arlene; sister, Colleen Ruple and
her husband, Gerald; sister, Maureen Christensen and her husband, Gary;
brother, Kevin McBride and his wife, Ann; sister-in-law, Lori Jackson; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in
death by his father, Louie “Bill” McBride.
A Rosary for Mr.
McBride will be recited at 5:00 p.m., with a gathering of family and friends to
follow, Monday, November 17, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive,
Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday,
November 18, 2014, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive,
Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
