Linda Kay Berube, 73, of Port Acres, died Thursday,
November 9, 2014, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port Arthur. She
was born on February 27, 1941, in Beaumont, to Elma Lorrain Courts and Sam
Williamson, and had been a longtime resident of the area.
Linda enjoyed painting and crafts. She will be
remembered as Mom and Grandma to everyone.
Linda is survived by her husband of fifty-four
years, Hugo Berube, of Port Acres; daughters, Faith Berube of Port Acres; Hope
Sterling and her husband, Grant, of California; and Georgina Bryant and her
husband, Darrell, of Okinawa; son, Hugh Thomas Berube and his wife, MaryAnn, of
California; grandchildren, Emily, Samantha, Jeremy, Josh, Taylor, Lauren,
Lindsey, and Whitney; great-grandchildren, Calista, Bradley, Jacob, Bella, and
Jeyla ; sisters, Ann Coleman of Leesville, Louisiana; Patsy Pevito and her
husband, Tommy, of Winnie; Gaynell Ford and her husband, Tommy, of Simpson,
Louisiana; and brothers, Jimmie Williamson and his wife, Betty, of Dayton;
Donald Williamson of Vidor; Jerry Williamson and his wife, Patty, of Fannett;
Dickie Williamson and his wife, Leslie, of Vidor. She will be especially missed
by her faithful dogs, Bear and Cody.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and
brother, Billy Williamson.
A gathering of Mrs. Berube’s family and friends
will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service
will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, with
interment to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
