Don Lee Leger

Don Lee Leger, 70, of Beeville, formerly of the Winnie area, died Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Senior Care Center of Windcrest, San Antonio. He was born on September 24, 1944, in Anahuac, to Loretta Guidry Leger and Stephen Leger.

Don enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Edelman and her husband, Norman, of Beeville; grandchildren, Steven and his wife, Layne; Erika and her husband, Rickey, and Christopher, all of Lafayette, Louisiana; and Zackary of Soldotna, Alaska; great-granddaughters, Sydney and Riley; mother, Loretta Leger of Winnie; brothers, David Leger and his wife, Peggy, of Hamshire; Randy Leger and his wife, Terry; and Timmy Leger and his wife, Sherry, of Montgomery.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Andy Leger; sister, Amy Leger; and daughter, Deborah Clark.

A gathering of Mr. Leger’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
