Hazel Menard, 94, of Winnie, died Wednesday, November 5,
2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on
August 31, 1920, in Landry Parish, Louisiana, to Ezor LeVern Boudreaux and
Mantor Boudreaux.
Hazel enjoyed bingo, going
out to eat, shopping and gardening. Most of all, her life was all about her
family.
Survivors include her
daughters, Mary Ann Ryan, of Beaumont; Diana Klaes of Winnie; Lee Anna Miller
and her husband, Mark, of Seabrook; and Gloria Messick and her husband, Bill,
of Mobile, Alabama; son, Jerry M. Menard and his wife, Sylvia, of Houston;
grandchildren, Scott Tumey and his wife, Sandra; Marty Ryan, Lynn Stine and her
husband, Larry; Mike Klaes and his wife, Kandi; Brandon Stine; Christopher
Stine; Katy Stine; Joni Abalos; Bobby Abalos; April and Brad Hanks; Amanda and
Steven Lynch; and Michael Menard and his wife, Jennifer; fourteen
great-grandchildren; and sister, Leta Hanks.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; husband, Elton Joseph Menard; and son, Jimmy Menard.
A gathering of Mrs. Menard’s family and friends will be from
3:00 pm until 5:00 pm, Friday, November 7, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West
Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00
a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer Drive,
Winnie, with interment to follow at Fairview
Cemetery, Winnie.
