Helen J. Sykes of Silsbee, died
Monday, November 3, 2014, in Beaumont,
Texas at the age of 67. Helen was born on August 8, 1947, in Colmesneil, Texas
to the late Sylvester Wooten, Sr. and Artisha Houston Wooten.
She united in matrimony to Mr.
Rufus Sykes forty-four years ago and resided in the Silsbee area. Helen was a very loving, caring, and giving
person who also believed in the bible.
She is preceded in death by her
parents and two younger brothers, Wesley and Lonnie Wooten.
Her love and legacy will remain
in the hearts of her husband, Rufus Sykes; brothers, Sylvester Wooten, Jr. and
Charles Edward Wooten, Sr.; and sisters, Shirley Wooten, Dorothy White, Artisha
Jones, and Doris Moore. Although she
didn’t birth any children of her own, she also leaves to cherish her two
special twin girls, Keeyana and Kaylin Riggins, Demarcus Jones, and Ashlynn
Williams; Godson, Alton Davis; and Goddaughter, Rochelle Robinson; along with a
host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A private funeral service for
family and close dear friends will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee with interment to follow at Hickory
Grove Cemetery,
Silsbee.
