Charmaine Allred, 60, of
Nederland, died Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Medical Center of Southeast
Texas, Port Arthur. A native and lifelong resident of the area, she was born on
February 17, 1954, in Port Arthur, to Alice Audrey Griffith Sturrock and Lester Craig
Sturrock.
Charmaine worked seven years for
the Port Arthur News as an assistant to the advertising manager. She enjoyed
her regular dinner parties with her 1972 PNG classmates. Charmaine loved arts
and crafts.
Survivors include her son, Adam
Allred of Nederland; sister, Donna Tiner and her husband, Kenneth, of Nederland;
brother, Lester Sturrock and his wife, Gloria, of Florida; special niece; Hope
Anderson and her husband, Chad, of Nederland; special great-niece, Gracie
Anderson; and other nieces and nephews, Michelle Jakelis, Todd Sturrock, and
Toby Tiner. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ms. Allred’s funeral service will be at 10:00
a.m., Monday, November 3, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland, with her interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park,
Port Neches.
