Mary Louise Nuckols

Mary Louise Nuckols, 88, of Hamshire, died Sunday, October 26, 2014, to her final resting place. A  resident of Hamshire for the last eight years, Mary was born March 16, 1926, in Galveston, to Lena Bonnettia Ayling and Alfred Ayling. She was a nurse for over thirty years and lovingly cared for each of her patients.

Mrs. Nuckols is survived by her daughter, Vickey Comeaux and her husband, Ronnie, of Hamshire; grandchildren, Patty Norris and her husband, Chris, of Anahuac; Carolyn Knoblock and her husband, Earl, of Sour Lake; and Lonnie Comeaux, of Hamshire; great-grandchildren, Jason Reed, of Baytown; Toshia Gray, of Bevil Oaks; Jacob Knoblock, of Sour Lake; Josh Norris of Florida; Jacy Norris, of Anahuac; Kinley Comeaux, of Lumberton; great-great-grandchildren, Emalee Reed, of Vidor and Ryleigh Gray of Bevil Oaks; nieces, Pam East, Suggie Daigle, and Jodie Thewman, all of Hamshire and Shirley Glass of Austin; nephew, Leon Hopson, of Hamshire; brother-in-law, L.V. Hopson, of Hamshire; and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents; and her husband, Virgil Nuckols.

A gathering of Mrs. Nuckols’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 25304 State Highway 124, Hamshire, with interment to follow at Hopson Cemetery, Hamshire.
