Mary A. Mulliner, 58, of
Nederland, died Saturday, October 18, 2014. A native and lifelong resident of
the area, she was born on January 4, 1956, in Beaumont, to Mary Latino and
Joseph Alexander. Mary worked at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont
for a number of years and later became coordinator and an instructor of the
Vocational Nursing Program at Lamar State College, Port Arthur.
Survivors include her husband of
thirty-six years, Mark Mulliner of Nederland; daughter, Angela Mulliner of
Nederland; brother, Joseph R. “Ronnie” Alexander and his wife, Frances Kay, of
Beaumont; sister, Gerardette Thomas and her husband, Jay, of Arlington;
brother, Gerald Alexander of Beaumont; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is
preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of Mrs. Mulliner’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary
recited at 6:00 p.m., Monday, October 20, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m.,
Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy
Avenue, Nederland, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park,
Beaumont.
