Michael Douglas Tubbs, II

Michael Douglas Tubbs, II, 24, of Winnie, died, Sunday, October 5, 2014. He was born on August 4, 1990, in Nederland, to Michelle Lee Rinehart and Michael Douglas Tubbs.

He enjoyed making modifications to his truck, hanging out on the bayou, and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered as a car enthusiast and a loving father to his little man.

Survivors include the love of his life of seven years, Montana Tubbs; son, Michael Douglas Tubbs III, both of Winnie; mother, Michelle Rinehart of Austin; sister, Makayla Fredrick and her husband, Cedrick, of Austin; brothers, Jordan Tubbs of Austin and Mason Tubbs of Fannett; grandparents, Johnnie and Ovelia Battaglio of Fannett; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A gathering of Michael’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Broussard’s 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
