Henry "Hal" Peterson

Henry “Hal” Peterson, 87, of Beaumont, died Monday, September 15, 2014, at The Clairmont Nursing Center, Beaumont. A native of Lawrenceville, Virginia, he was born to Nora Bobbitt Peterson and Marshall R. Peterson. Hal served in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon his return, he attended Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, and graduated in 1949 with an engineering degree.  He later worked for DuPont where he retired after forty years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Peterson of Beaumont; son, Mark A. Peterson; and daughter, Marsha R. Peterson, both of Houston; sister, Elizabeth Clausen of Winston Salem, North Carolina; and many friends and extended family members.

A gathering of Mr. Peterson’s family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with his memorial service to follow at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 20, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal service was held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
