James “Jim” Edward Stuart, Jr.,
71, of Spurger, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014. He was born on June 9, 1943, in Beaumont, to Bobbie Key
and James Stuart, Sr. After graduating
from Vidor High
School in 1961, James served his country in the United States
Army during the Vietnam
era. After leaving the army, he was a
steel estimator for many steel manufacturers.
He recently retired from Ratliff Industries.
Survivors include his mother,
Bobbie Stuart of Silsbee; children, Kelly Horne and her husband, Don, of
Silsbee; Jamie Stuart of Knoxville, Tennessee; Stacey Huddleston and her
husband, Dennis, of Knoxville, Tennessee; Sharla Stuart of Houston; and Jason
Stuart of Knoxville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brandon Horne, Katy Baez, Jimmy
Horne, Lara Horne, Chelsea Stuart, Brendon Stuart, Cody Watson, Colton Sonnier,
Colin Sonnier, Mitzi Adams, Jessica Adams, Sam Bass, Michael Adams, and Valarie
Glasgow; numerous great-grandchildren; and brothers, Ricky Stuart and his wife,
Terri, of Silsbee and Randy Stuart and his wife, Terri, of Zavalla. He is preceded in death by his father;
brother, Keith Stuart; and stepdaughters, Sandy Glasgow and Kim Adams.
A gathering of Mr. Stuart’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, August 30,
2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery
Road, Silsbee.
His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2014, at
Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery,
Silsbee.
