Robert Reed Leicht, Sr.
July 29, 1922 - August 22, 2014
Robert “Bob” Reed Leicht Sr., 92, of Dallas, passed away August 22,
2014. Born on July 29, 1922, in Beaumont, Bob graduated from St. Anthony High
School in 1940. He served in World War
II for five years as a pilot in the United States Air Force and retired from
American Airlines.
Bob is survived by his wife, Faith M. Leicht; six children, Robert R.
Leicht, Jr., William B. Leicht, Karen M. Sterzer, Sandra K. Lambeth, Chris
Leicht, and Mariann Fox; brother, Thomas M. Leicht; thirty grandchildren; and
twenty-three great-grandchildren. He was
predeceased by his son, Charles Leicht; grandson, Taylor Leicht; parents, Harry
and Rosa Leicht; three sisters, Katherine Thompson, Heloise Chadbourne and
Clifford Marshall; and one brother, Harry R. Leicht., Jr.
Visitation for Mr. Leicht will be Thursday evening, August 28, 2014,
from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., in the Abbey Chapel at
Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 29, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at St.
Bernard Catholic Church, 1404 Old Gate Lane, Dallas, with burial at 2:00 p.m.
at DFW National Cemetery.
