Wilton Dean Partridge

Wilton Dean Partridge, 79, of Nederland, passed away Friday,
August 22, 2014. He was born on December 23, 1934, in Morales, Texas, to Janice
Elaine Milby Partridge and Walter Fredrick Partridge. Dean was a past Sunday
school teacher and longtime member of First Baptist Church Nederland, where he
served on the building and grounds committee. He was a member of the member of
the Nederland Masonic Lodge #1368.
Mr. Partridge was a graduate of Edna High School and attended
Lamar Tech. He worked for Mobil Oil then DuPont, Beaumont, for more than
thirty-five years. He had a love for woodworking and was an active member of
Woodworkers of Southeast Texas, where he made special wooden boxes for children
at MD Anderson, as well as toys for underprivileged children.
Survivors include his daughters, Johnna Dean Partridge Miller
and her husband, Mike, of Victoria; Deanna Lea Partridge Yawn of Nassau Bay;
step-daughter, Kim Girouard Nunez and her husband, Scot, of Katy;
grandchildren, Megan Elyse Miller Buckholdt and her husband, Danny, of Boerne;
Meredith Leigh Miller Murski and her husband, Mark, of Corpus Christi; Jared
Ross Yawn of Nassau Bay; Aaron Girouard Nunez of Katy; and Avery Renae Nunez of
Katy; great-grandchild, Easton Hale Murski of Corpus Christi; and lifetime
partner, Jo Girouard of Port Neches.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ellen
Lassiter Partridge; and step-daughter, Lisa Ray Girouard.
A gathering of Mr. Partridge’s family and friends will be
from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 25, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 12th
Street, Nederland. His funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August
26, 2014, at First Baptist Church Nederland, 1911 Nederland Avenue, Nederland.
Mr. Partridge’s interment will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at
Memory Gardens, 204 Buffalo Street, Edna, Texas.
Mr. Partridge’s pallbearers include Steve Brady, Danny
Buckholdt, Scot Nunez, Mark Murski, Aaron Nunez, Cole Hammond, Sam Tobey, Paul
Smith, and Jared Yawn. His honorary pallbearers will be the Woodworkers of
Southeast Texas.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Partridge’s memory
to First Baptist Church Nederland, 1911 Nederland Avenue, Nederland, Texas
