Anna Joan Work Hodges, 64, of Silsbee, died Monday, August 18, 2014. She was born on December 25, 1949, in Beaumont, to Vera Mae Brasher Work and Carter Hart Work.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Hodges of Silsbee; children, Tim Hodges and wife, Crystal, of Orange and Lindsey Hodges of Silsbee; grandchildren, Blake Hodges, Shawn Hodges, Dylan Sanford, Allysa Sanford, and Kenleigh Jeselink; siblings, Sue Lindeman and husband, Kenneth, of Silsbee; Pat Work and wife, Nell, of Kountze; Jimmy Paul Work of Kountze; and David Work and wife, Donna, of Lufkin; and a very special niece, Lauren Work of Kountze. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Mike Work and Kenny Work.

A gathering of Mrs. Hodges’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Broussard's, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. Her funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, at New Covenant Assembly of God, 1470 North Fifth Street, Silsbee, with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
