Doris G. Thomas, 83, of Beaumont, died Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Beaumont. She was born on October 24, 1930, to Ann Sadie Glass and Lester Cotton, in Port Arthur.
Survivors include her son, Larry Gilbert and daughter, Suzette Morgan, both of Beaumont; brother, Robert Ipes and his wife, Sandy, of Sugartown, Louisiana; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Luther C. Thomas.
A memorial service for Mrs. Thomas will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Praise Church, 8325 Walker Road, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium in Beaumont.
