Wilson Norris Hatton, 84, of Port
Neches, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014. He was born to Jewell Campbell
Hatton and John Henry Hatton, on November 10, 1929, in Warren.
Norris graduated from University
of Houston in 1951. He was inducted into the Army and served in the National
Security Agency. Upon being discharged from the Army, he began working at Unical
Refinery in Nederland, where he was a Superintendent of Engineering and
Maintenance during his thirty-seven years of employment. Norris loved the
outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of First Baptist
Church Port Neches for many years, serving in different areas. Member of the
Sunday school class will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
Left to honor his memory is his
wife of sixty-two years, Elaine Watson Hatton; son, John Watson Hatton and his
fiancé, Monica Dohermann; daughter, Terri Jo Guidry and her husband, Jeff; grandchildren,
Trevor Guidry, Elaina Guidry, and Trey Guidry and his wife, Shelby; and great-grandchild,
Kylie Guidry.
The family would like to thank
all the helpful staff at Cypress Glenn Nursing Home, and Gail Landry and family
for all continued help and support.
A gathering of Mr. Hatton’s family
and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m., with his funeral service to follow at
11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014, at First Baptist Church, 1900 Magnolia
Avenue, Port Neches, with Reverend Dr. David Mahfouz officiating. His graveside
service will follow at 3:00 p.m., at Swearingen Cemetery, Warren, under the
direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
