Pauline "Polly" Gaby

Pauline “Polly” Gaby, 88, of Winnie, died Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Winnie Community Hospital. She was born on May 12, 1926, in Dallas, to Alma and John Anderson. Polly had been a resident of Winnie for the past eighteen years and will be remembered as an excellent seamstress who enjoyed bowling, trips to the casino, and following politics. She was very artistic and her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Joy McDaniel and her husband, Mike, of Winnie; Ann Campbell of Fannett; and Terri Charles of Houston; grandchildren, Charlie McDaniel and his wife, Chelsea; Scotty McDaniel and his wife, Holly; Meagan Charles and Will Charles; John Ryan Campbell; and Paul Wallace; great-grandchildren, Gracie and Kate McDaniel; and her sister-in-law, Jean Anderson of Shreveport, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-two years, Delmar Gaby; parents, John and Alma Anderson; daughter, Karen Wallace; sisters, Maxine Welch, Pat Cooley, and Hazel Wakeland; and brother, Buddy Anderson.

Pauline will be especially missed by her faithful four legged canine companion, Buddy.

A gathering of Mrs. Gaby’s family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Winnie, Texas 77665. A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Kilgore Memorial Gardens, State Highway 31 at Smith and Gregg County Line, Kilgore, Texas 75662.
