Thomas Harold Wilson,
78, of Nederland, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014. He was born on October 15,
1935, in Shelbyville, to Mozelle Askew Wilson and Reese
Wilson, and had been a longtime resident of the area. Thomas retired from
Texaco after forty-three years of service.
He was a master watch
repairman and Jeweler. Thomas loved fishing, gardening, and camping. He loved
to play golf and made the best barbeque.
Survivors include his
wife, Lois Marie Wilson of Nederland; daughters, Kristy Thompson and her
husband, Robert, of Mansfield and Kimberly Thomas and her husband, Tugie, of
Orange; sons, Ricky Wilson of Nederland and Kelvin Wilson and his wife, Jenny,
of LaBelle; grandchildren, Katherine Ewing and her husband, Tim, of Arlington; Lauren
Thompson; and Michael Thompson, both of Mansfield; Reece Thomas; Clay Thomas
and his wife, Angie; and Brandi McGalin and her husband, Jason; all of Orange;
Jaselyn Wilson; Aaron Wilson; Austin Wilson all of LaBelle; great-grandchildren,
Corbet Vance, Gage Thomas, Zack Thomas, and Jax McGalin; brother, Aubrey Wilson
of Shelbyville; sisters, Lora Ann Hutto and Iva Waller both of Shelbyville; and
numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A gathering of Mr.
Wilson’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday,
July 25, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014, at St.
Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment
to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur.
