Duncan "Bo" Frank Dykes

Duncan “Bo” Frank Dykes, 83, of Lumberton, died Monday,
July 14, 2014. He was born on July 26,
1930, in Rockland,
to Thelma Barrum Dykes and George Dykes.
Bo retired from Ironworkers Local #125 after fifty years at which time
he retired to his ranch in Spurger where he spent his last years with his
horses and trail riding with his many friends.
He was also a member of Snow River Lodge #385, AF&AM in Spurger.
Survivors include his daughter,
Sheree Brushaber and her husband, Jeff, of Lumberton; son, David Dykes of
Houston; grandchildren, Rachel Gray, Alana Manni, and Austin Brushaber, all of
Lumberton; great-grandchildren, Emma Gray and Maylee Manni; nieces and nephews, Trudie Downs of Warren; and Ricky Dykes and Ronnie Dykes, both of Newton; and numerous other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife,
Wilma Dykes; son, George “Wayne” Dykes; brother, George Dykes; sister, Marie
Lamberth; and aunt, Billie Kelly.
A gathering of Mr. Dykes’ family
and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee. His funeral service will be
11:30 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery,
Rockland.
