Claudean Simon, 69, of Winnie, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014,
at The Arboretum of Winnie. She was born on January 3.1945, in Port Arthur, to Barbara Boulet Vickers and
Maphus Vickers, and had been a longtime resident of the Winnie area.
Claudean enjoyed spending time with her family and will be
remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she was
a very social member of the community, who was devout in her faith and dedicated
to her St. Louis Catholic Church family.
Mrs. Simon is survived by her husband of fifty-one years,
Andy Simon of Winnie; sons, Jeffrey Simon and his wife, Olga and James Simon
and his wife, Lisa, all of Winnie; grandchildren, Jessica, Casey, Victoria,
Angelica, Bailee, John and Catherine; and great-grandchildren, Kenley, Kayten
and Iylah.
She is preceded in death by parents; and son, John Philip
Simon.
A gathering of Mrs. Simon’s family and friends will be
from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, 2014, with a Rosary recited
at 6:00 p.m., at Broussard’s. 134
West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, at St. Louis
Catholic Church, 315 West
Buccaneer Drive, Winnie, with interment to follow
at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.
