Mark
Shivers, 52, of Beaumont, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of
Southeast Texas, Beaumont. He was born on July 24, 1961, in Shreveport,
Louisiana, to Agnes Wannelle Powell and Thomas Emile Shivers, and had been a
lifelong resident of Texas and Louisiana.
Mark
owned Domino’s Pizza, Bridge City, and operated Domino’s in Beaumont and
Lumberton. He was an Art student, earned a degree in Computer Information
Systems/Software Applications, and earned a degree in Welding Technology. Mark was an avid saltwater angler, both
onshore and offshore. He had a passion for gardening, music, and cooking.
Mark
is survived by his wife, Debbie Shivers; children, Shane Shivers of Vidor,
Alexis Shivers of Bullhead City, Arizona, Jeffery Shivers, Jordan Shivers,
Jacob Shivers, and Justin Shivers, all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Kelly
Shivers and Casey Shivers; father, Thomas Shivers of Jasper; mother, Wannelle
Jaeger of Leesville, Louisiana; brothers, Kevin Shivers and his wife, Brandy,
of Vidor, Neal Jaeger of Leesville, Louisiana, and William Jaeger and his wife,
Stephanie, of Denton; and many other loving family members.
He
is preceded in death by his brother, Lane Shivers.
A
gathering of Mr. Shivers’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m., with his Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 7, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. His Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at St. Anne Catholic Church,
2715 Calder, Beaumont, with a reception to follow at St. Anne Parish Hall. A private
family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
