Alberto Gonzalez, 80, of Beaumont, died
Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born in Mexico on
April 6, 1934, the son of Micaela Gloria Gonzalez and Zenon Gonzalez and he was
a painter.
He is survived by his daughters, Leticia
McLaughlin and her husband, Matt, of Vidor; Martha Alicia Jenkins and her
husband, Melvin of Baytown; and Angelica Saldana and her husband, Ivan, of
Vidor; grandchildren, Margarita Barboza, Killian McLaughlin, Sidney McLaughlin,
Sophia McLaughlin, Jesse Pompa, Brandon Pompa, Felicia Deleon, Christina
Robledo, Teresa Sosa, and Nicholas Caldera; brothers, Simon Gonzalez, Gregory
Gonzalez, Salvador Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzalez and David Gonzalez; and sisters,
Maria Rojas and Esperanza Gonzalez. Alberto
was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of nineteen years, Maria
Margarita Martinez Gonzalez; and brothers, Jose Gonzalez and Eduardo Gonzalez.
A rosary for Mr. Gonzalez will be
recited 6:00 p.m., Monday evening, June 30, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000
McFaddin, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Cristo Rey
Catholic Church, 767 Avenue A, Beaumont, followed by burial at Forest Lawn
Memorial Park in Beaumont.
