Mary Lou Dixon, 78, of LaBelle,
died Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas, Port
Arthur. She was born on October 15, 1935, in Kilgore, Oklahoma, to Viola
McCullough Miller and George Washington Miller.
Mary enjoyed the outdoors. Her
passion was flowers, especially roses.
She loved her church and working with her church. Mary was everybody’s
mom.
Survivors include her son, Donald
Dixon of Nederland; brother, Don Miller and his wife, Judy, of Oklahoma; niece,
Angie Miller; and nephew, Danny Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents;
and her husband, James Dixon.
A gathering of Mrs. Dixon’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 30,
2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral
service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Broussard’s, with
interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
