John Dewayne Burnett, 65, of
Evadale, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
He was born on December 27, 1948, in Evadale, to Lurline Harris and J.
D. Burnett.
Survivors include his father and
step-mother, Jean and J.D. Burnett; sister, Rebecca “Sissy” Clements Dunagan
and her husband, Jimbo, of Nome; step-sister, Joyce Crowder and her husband,
Mark; of Kountze; step-brother, Billy Denby and his wife, Bonnie, of Jasper; step-father,
Charlie Wright of Silsbee; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother,
Lurline Wright.
A gathering of John’s family and
friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road,
Silsbee. His funeral service will be
2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Morse Cemetery,
Buna.
