Elnora Mae Foxworth, 85, of Port
Neches, died Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was
born November 27, 1928, in Bleakwood, to Callie Mae Charlton and James Hoy
Herrin, and had lived most of her life in Port Neches.
Elnora taught Kindergarten for over
twenty years, and continued to care for children through First Baptist Church
of Port Neches well in to her 80’s. She was a member of The Eastern Star.
Elnora is survived by her
daughter, Brenda Kelly and husband, Bobby, of Bleakwood; grandchildren, Amy
Kelly, Chad Booker, and Tonya Booker; brother, Lavelle Herrin of Longview;
sisters, Elsie Duncan and her husband, Jack, of Kirbyville and Larue Berry of
Gautier, Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by her
parents; husband of sixty-one years, Raleigh Foxworth; and daughter, Nelda
Booker. A gathering of Mrs. Foxworth’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, June 27, 2014,
at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral
service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Broussard’s, with
interment to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Bob Herrin Cemetery, FM 2626, Newton County. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to Central Baptist Church of Port Neches, 903 Avenue B, Port
Neches, Texas 77651.
