Elton Elzie Luce, Sr.
September 16, 1931 - June 21, 2014
Elton Elzie Luce, Sr., 82, of
Nederland, died Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast
Texas, Beaumont. He was born on September 16, 1931, in Blue Water, and lifelong
resident of the area. Elton was a United States Army veteran, having served in
the Korean War.
Elton enjoyed hunting and
fishing, and in his later years traveling, and cherished family reunions.
He is survived by his sons, Elton
Luce, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Champion, Michigan; Craig Luce and his wife,
Christine, of Mauriceville; and Kyle Luce and his wife, Stephanie, of Beaumont;
grandchildren, Elton Luce III, Ryan Luce, Kris Luce, Heather Paine, Michelle
Giles, Daniel Luce, Erik Luce, Troy Luce, and Thomas Luce; and nine
great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his
parents; and wife, Shirley Joyce Hastings.
A gathering of Mr. Luce’s family
and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 25, 2014,
at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. His funeral
service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment
to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches.
