James Elvin Rutledge, Sr., 75, of
Beaumont, died
Thursday, June 19, 2014. He was born on
December 1, 1938, in Hardin
County, to Ella Mae
Rutledge and Hardy Rutledge, Sr. James
worked as an airplane mechanic for fifty-five years with M&M Air Service.
Survivors include his children,
James Elvin Rutledge, Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Kountze; Elvin Loyd
Rutledge of Beaumont; and Penny Kathleen Clark and her husband, Rodney, of
Orange; grandchildren, Jason Richardson, Justin Rutledge, Christopher Rutledge,
Amber Berryhill, Autumn Goins, Jessica Spivey, Emmaly Rutledge, Ryan Rutledge,
Colton Audilet, Caleb Clark, and Caitlyn Clark; great-grandchildren, Ty Spivey,
Morgan Rutledge, McKenzie Rutledge, Caleb Rutledge, Ashlyn Berryhill, Adrianna
Berryhill, Baileigh Goins, Harleigh Goins, Preseileigh Goins, Madison
Richardson, and Ashton Richardson; siblings, Doris Hickman, Dorothy Evans,
Alene Gallier, Snow White Reed, Helen Mitchell, Christine Denmon, Melba Blanck,
Donna Bonura, Leroy Rutledge, Joe Rutledge, Robert Swearingen, Arnold
Swearingen, and Frank Tanton, Jr. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife,
Bonnie Rutledge; sisters, Betty Louivere and Patricia Rutledge; and brothers,
George Rutledge, Douglas Rutledge, and Hardy Rutledge, Jr.
A gathering of Mr. Rutledge’s
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 20,
2014, and Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 4:00 p.m.,
Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery, Silsbee.
