August 31, 1946 - June 17, 2014
Gary Pigg, 67, of
Fannett, died June 17, 2014, at home surrounded by his loved ones. A native of
Littlefield, Texas, he was born on August 31, 1946, to Esther Bernice Thompson
and John Wesley Pigg. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam
War and employed at Giglio Distributing Company as their public relations and
special events coordinator. Gary
was baptized at the age of twelve at First Baptist Church in Amherst, Texas,
where he attended school and received many honors as an outstanding athlete. He
was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. Gary was a mentor to many young people and a father
figure to so many children! He was a true and loyal friend to so many and will
be deeply missed! Survivors include
his wife, Deborah “Debi” Suzanne Tate Pigg, of Fannett; children, Brandi Borne
and her husband, Keith, of Groves; James Northcutt; Chelsea Flitcraft and her
husband, Greg, all of Nederland; grandchildren, David Watson and his wife,
Ashley, Makenzie Borne, Garret Borne, Grason Flitcraft, Harli Flitcraft, and
Garyson Flitcraft; sister, Vicky Kloecker and her husband, Bobby; niece,
Charlsa Wine-Goodman and her husband, Mark; great-niece and great-nephew, J.T.
and Sophie Goodman; numerous other nieces, nephews, and loving family members. He is preceded in
death by his son, John Austin Pigg; parents; and Maw-Maw and Paw-Paw Pigg. A gathering of his
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 20,
2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue. His funeral service will be at
10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow
at Broussard Cemetery, in Fannett. Memorial
