Charles
Ronald “Ronnie” Goodman, died June 15, 2014. He was born in Beaumont on March 9,
1952, to Charlotte Richards Goodman and Charles W. Goodman. His grandparents were
Molly and Charles R. Goodman; and Margaret and Robert Richards.
Ronnie grew
up in Beaumont, and lived a happy, normal childhood filled with activities at
school and home. During high school, Ronnie enjoyed fishing at the lake and
riding a mini-bike that he bought from money earned mowing neighbor's lawns. At
the Neurological Center, in Beaumont, where he spent time working on his
illness, he met and married his wife, Janet. In trade school, he learned
welding and worked a number of years at a local welding shop and later in life
he worked at IHOP. Ronnie lived a quiet life, enjoying coffee, cigarettes and
music which he was quite knowledgeable about.
Survivors
include his parents; brother, Steve Goodman of Bastrop; and cousin, JoHelen
Broussard of Houston.
A graveside
service for Mr. Goodman will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014, at
Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000
McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.
