Goldie LeJune Godeaux, 88, of
Fannett, died June 2, 2014, at Cypress Glen Nursing Center, Port Arthur. She
was born April 20, 1926, in Beaumont, to Beulah Linscomb and Ernest Ray Phelps.
Mrs. LeJune Godeaux is survived
by son, Delbert LeJune and his wife, Mildred, of Port Neches; daughters,
LyVonne Simon of Beaumont; Donna Leger and her husband, A.J., of Hamshire; and
Beth Day and her husband, Mike, of Fannett; stepsons, Jerry Godeaux and his
wife, Diane, of Beaumont; Atlas Godeaux and his wife, Betty, of China; and
Roger Godeaux of China; eight grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren;
and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
husband and father of her children, Louis LeJune; husband, Avie Godeaux; four
sisters; and one brother.
A gathering of Mrs. LeJune
Godeaux’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a
Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Broussard’s, 134 West
Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June
4, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at Broussard Cemetery,
Hamshire.
