Robert Verde, 63, of
Port Arthur, died Thursday, May 22, 2014, at Christus Hospital-St. Elizabeth,
Beaumont. He was born on June 2, 1950, in Beaumont, to Mary Neoma Segura Verde
and Coley Verde, and had been a lifelong resident of the Port Arthur area.
He is survived by his
wife of nineteen years, Debbie Verde; son, Ben Verde and his wife, Melanie, of
Nederland; daughter, Heather Hubacek of Groves; granddaughters, Kaitlyn,
McKenzie, and Aria Hubacek; parents, Neoma and Coley Verde of Nederland; sisters,
Barbara Williamson and her husband, Jerry and Delores Jones and her husband,
Raymond, all of Lumberton; brother, Ricki Verde and his wife, Regina, of
Leakey; and several aunts; uncles; cousins; and a host of other relatives and
friends.
A gathering of Mr.
Verde’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, May
27, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Rosary
will be recited at 10:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow Wednesday,
May 28, 2014, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 2006 Nall Street, Port Neches.
His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Bluff Memorial Park,
101 Block Street, Port Neches.
