Sherry Jean Fogle Hoy

Sherry Jean Fogle Hoy, 76, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014. She was born on January 22, 1938, to Marjorie Ann Frink Fogle and Charles Roy Fogle, in Metropolis, Illinois, and had been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1969. Sherry was the first female to graduate from the Lamar Police Academy and member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Beaumont.

Survivors include her daughters, Jianna Evans of Lumberton and Tammy Hoy of League City; sons, Jimmy Hoy and his wife, Paula, of Kountze; Tom Hoy of Bridge City; and Jeff Hoy and his wife, Angie, of New Ulm; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joseph Allen Hoy; a grandson, Clint Evans; and a great-granddaughter, Aubrey Burnside; grandparents, Anna and Thomas Frink, Martha and Rufus Fogle, and Vangie and Roy Crawford; and aunts and uncles, Jerry and Jack Fogle, and Mary Rose and Tom Frink.

A gathering of Mrs. Hoy’s family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon, at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
