Harold
W. Adams, 84, of Nederland, died Thursday, April 3, 2014, at Calder Woods,
Beaumont. He was born February 3, 1930, to Mildred Dixon and Elmer E. Adams.
Harold was a veteran of the United States Army and worked as a Terminal
Supervisor for forty-two years, before his retirement. He was a longtime member
of First United Methodist Church, Nederland. Harold also belonged to several
other organizations, including Nederland Masonic Lodge, #1368 AF&AM, where
he served as Past Master, Treasurer and was the 2008 recipient of the Golden Trowel
Award, Scottish Rite Bodies, El Mina Shrine, Galveston, Mid-Jefferson Shrine
Club and Order of the Eastern Star, #1079.
Harold
is survived by his wife, Paula P. Adams of Nederland; daughter, Maridale Still
and her husband, Randy, of Beaumont; grandson, Brandan Still and his wife,
Jena, of Houston and granddaughters, Kristen Davidson and her husband, Drew and
Kimberly Still, all of Beaumont; sister, Mary Evelyn Adams of Enid, Oklahoma;
brother-in-law and wife, Dale Parker and his wife, Ava; and niece, Jan James of
Houston.
He
is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer E. and Mildred Adams.
A
gathering of Mr. Adams’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00
p.m., Friday, April 4, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street,
Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014, at
First United Methodist Church, 104 North 13th Street, Nederland,
with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
