Hazel East
September 11, 1939 - March 25, 2014

Hazel East, 74, of Hamshire, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in Wylie. She was born on September 11, 1939, to Ruby Murray and James Carson Williams, in Mercedes. Hazel had been a long time resident of the Hamshire area and was a retired restaurant manager.

 

Survivors include sons, John Mook and his wife, Julia, of Dayton and Jim Mook and his wife, Denise, of Wylie; brother, James Williams and his wife, Chong, of Fort Campbell, Kentucky; sisters, Ruby Borak and her husband, Leo, of Bay City and Dorothy Parker and her husband, Robert, of Denham Springs, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  

 

She was preceded in death by husband, David Carl East; and sons, Sam Mook and Robert Mook, Jr.

 

A graveside service for Mrs. East will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview Cemetery Road, Winnie under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.
