Mary Blake Francis, 101, of
Silsbee, died Friday, March 21, 2014.
She was born on October 27, 1912, in Varnado, Louisiana,
to Lizzie Willis Blake and George Clinton Blake. Before retiring, Mary worked as a nurse at
the Kountze Hospital.
She is survived by her children,
Wayne Francis and his wife, Jackie, of Ojai, California and James Francis and
his wife, Amy, of Brooksville, Florida; grandchildren, Nat Francis and his
wife, Anna, of Bloomington, Indiana; Mary Beth McClain and her husband, George,
of Dubois, Pennsylvania; Melinda Teer and her husband, Bennette, of Sour Lake;
Christopher Francis and his wife, Vickie, of Cotter, Arkansas; Timothy Francis
and his wife, Sharon, of Camarillo, California; Jeremy Francis of San Jose,
California; Kari Francis of Rochester, New York; Jayme Francis Thomas and her
husband, Daniel Thomas, Jr., of Union Town, Pennsylvania; Jesse Francis and his
wife, Kat, of Springhill, Florida; and James Francis and his wife, Anna, of
Brooksville, Florida; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;
and numerous nieces and nephews. She is
preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifton Nathaniel Francis; son
Clifton Nathaniel Francis, Jr. and his wife, Martha; brothers, Clinton Blake;
Luther Blake; Willis Blake; and Griffin Blake; and sisters, Louise Williams and
Florence Blake.
A gathering of Mrs. Francis’
family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25,
2014, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery
Road, Silsbee.
Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at First United
Methodist Church,
670 North 5th Street,
Silsbee, 77656, with interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery,
Silsbee.
