Charles Theobald, 62,
of Port Arthur, died Thursday, March 20, 2014. He was born on February 9, 1952,
in Beaumont, to Martha Bodin Theobald and Fred C. Theobald, and had been a
lifelong resident of the area.
Charles was a United
States Navy veteran and an avid fisherman. He loved his family, kids, and
grandkids, his dog, Boots, and his church, The First
Pentecostal Church of Port Arthur.
Survivors include
daughters, Rebecca Theobald of Perryville, Missouri; Jessica Gaspard and her
husband, Mark; and Ashley Theobald and her husband, Adam Cormier; all of Port
Arthur; brothers, Mark Theobald and Alan Theobald; sisters, Cindy Johansen and
Renee Cole and her husband, Charles; grandchildren, Jeremy Barrios, William
Theobald, David Hebert, Addison Owens, Charles Gaspard, Hannah Gaspard, Aubrey
Cormier, Autumn Cormier, and Abigail Cormier; cousins, Chris Bodin and Steve
Brammer; and many other cousins and loving family members.
He was preceded in
death by his mother, Martha; son, David; and uncles, George Bodin and William
McFarland.
A gathering of Mr.
Theobald’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday,
March 24, 2014, at the First Pentecostal Church, 2700 25th Street,
Port Arthur. A Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2014,
at First Pentecostal Church, 2700 25th Street, Port Arthur, with interment to
follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
