“Jessie” Ruiz, Jr., 70, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at
Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on November 27, 1943, in
Puebla, Mexico, to Asuncion Ruiz and Jose De Jesus Ruiz, Sr., and had been a
longtime resident of the area.
Survivors
include his wife, Maria Ruiz of Beaumont; mother, Asuncion Ruiz of Mexico;
sons, Alfonzo Ruiz and Joe Ruiz, Sr., both of Beaumont; grandchildren, Joe
Ruiz, Jr., Joanna Ruiz, Josephine, Ruiz, and Nicholas Ruiz; brothers, Edwardo
Ruiz of Beaumont and Hijinio Ruiz of Mexico; and sisters, Asuncion Ruiz and
Lourdes Ruiz, both of Mexico.
A Rosary for
Mr. Ruiz will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of friends and family
to follow, Friday, March 21, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue,
Beaumont. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22,
2014, at Cristo Rey Catholic church, 767 Avenue A, Beaumont. A committal was
held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont.
