Thelma Mott, 88, of Sour Lake, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Harbor Hospital, Beaumont. She was born on October 15, 1925, in San Augustine, to Opheliah Rebecca Hudson Lakey and Tom Lakey, and was a longtime resident of Sour Lake.
Survivors include her children, Carolyn Ray Rizatto of Lumberton, Ronnie Mott of Tyler, Ricky Duane Mott of San Antonio, Jimmy Lee Mott of Beaumont, Patsy R. Mott of Sour Lake, and Jerry Michael Mott of Spurger; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A gathering of Mrs. Mott’s family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Broussard’s, with interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Concord Cemetery, Zavalla.
