George Benard Blumenthal, 76,
of Lumberton, died Tuesday, March 12, 2014, at his residence. He was born on
October 8, 1937, in New York,
New York. George proudly
served his country in the United States Navy and was a retired seaman with
Exxon Shipping.
Survivors include his wife,
Nancy Blumenthal; daughter, Nancy N. Blumenthal of Lumberton;
son, George Frances Blumenthal of Austin;
grandson, Gabriel Benard Blumenthal-Enders of Lumberton;
and sister, Nora Salch and her husband Cal of Virginia.
Mr. Blumenthal is preceded in
death by his mother and father, Nora Celia Nolan and George Frances Blumenthal;
brother, Robert “Bobby” Blumenthal; and sister, Ruthie Bovis.
A committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium,
Beaumont, under the direction of
Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.
