Dorothy Ennis Clark, 81, of
Beaumont, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast
Texas-Beaumont. A native of Bessmay, Texas, she was born to Margaret Elizabeth
Mathews and Aaron Cecil Ennis, Sr., on January 14, 1933. Dorothy was a teacher,
receiving a Master’s of Education at Lamar University.
Survivors include her husband,
Lynwood “Lynn” Clark, of Beaumont; three daughters, Sheryl Carlile and her
husband, Colin, of Devine; Denise Grant and her husband, Jim, of League City;
and Kimberly Hoffpauir and her husband, Matt, of Vidor; son, Kenneth Clark and
his wife, Patricia, of Dallas; brother, Royce Ennis; seven grandchildren, Tom
Carlile, Daffney Cseke, Stephanie Banks, Michele Andrus, Nathan Grant, Sarah
Baudains, and Elizabeth Hoffpauir; seven great-grandchildren, Austin Hinely,
Courtney Andrus, Madison Banks, Megan Andrus, Cole Banks, Matthew Cseke, and
Calista Cseke.
She is preceded in death by her parents;
brother, A.C. Ennis, Jr.; and sister, Doris Yvonne Ennis Davis.
A gathering of Mrs. Clark’s
family and friends will begin at 12:00 p.m., with her memorial service to
follow at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin
Avenue, Beaumont. A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
