Theresa Torres

Theresa
Torres, 89, of Tomball, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at Tomball Regional Center,
Tomball. She was born September 17, 1924, to Mercedes and Juan Cortez in
Sulphur, Louisiana, and had been a resident of the area for the last sixty-five
years.
She
is survived by her daughters, Mary Newkirk and her husband, Mark, of Wheat
Ridge, Colorado and Elba Alexander and her husband, Gary, of Tomball; son,
Carlos Torres and his wife, Debbie, of Helotes; six grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and brother, Johnny Cortez.
Theresa
is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carlos Torres; son, Rudy Lopez;
and daughter, Hermina Taylor.
A
graveside service for Mrs. Torres will be 2:00 p.m., at Memory Gardens of
Jefferson County, Nederland, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland.
