Anita
McClintock, 86, of Nederland, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Harbor Hospice,
Beaumont. She was born May 14, 1927, to Anna and Frederick Hebert in New
Iberia, Louisiana, and had been a resident of the Mid-County area for the last
seventy years. Anita devoted her life to caring for those in her family as a
loving mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her service to her
faith and her church community.
Anita
is survived by her daughters, JoAnn LaBove and her husband, Daryll, Suzette
Meleton and her husband, Paul, all of Nederland and Jean Bratcher and her
husband, Scott, of Richardson; grandchildren, Kristofer and Tristan Meleton,
and Zachary and Colby Bratcher; brother, Francis Hebert of Loreauville,
Louisiana; and sisters, Betty DeRouen of Franklin, Louisiana and Annie Lou
Landry and her husband, Raymond, of New Iberia, Louisiana.
She
is preceded in death by her husband of forty-nine years, Alfred “Mac”
McClintock; parents, Frederick and Anna Hebert; brothers, Felix and Frederick
Hebert; and sister, Zelma Hebert.
A
gathering of Mrs. McClintock’s family and friends will be from 5:00p.m.until
8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2014, at St.
Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland, with interment
to follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County, Nederland.
