Floyd Hampton Breaux,
92, of Port Neches, died February 21, 2014, at Christus St. Mary Hospital in
Port Arthur. Born October 15, 1921, in
Port Arthur, he was the son of Cesla Mary Shipley. Mr. Breaux was a United
States Navy veteran and had retired from Dupont Sabine River Works.
Mr. Breaux was a
graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.
A native of the area, Floyd spent most of his life in Port Neches. Floyd was a proud veteran of the United
States Navy and served in the Pacific during World War II. He was always there to help others and
treasured his lifelong friends. Mr.
Breaux was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, surrogate “PawPaw” and
friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his
wife, Wanda Mae Breaux; daughter, Judy Smith of Port Neches; sons, Mike Breaux
of Brookeland and Randy Breaux of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Leesa
LeTulle, Shelly Kuempel, Brandy Burks, Clint Breaux, Carlie Breaux, Nathaniel
Breaux and Miranda Jones; great grandchildren, Josh LeTulle, Hannah LeTulle, Brooklyn
Burks, Blakely Burks, Josie Mae Moore, Jacob Kuempel, Brady Kuempel and Lincoln Christopher Breaux; and a
host of friends. Mr. Breaux was preceded
in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.
A gathering of Mr.
Breaux’s family and friends will be Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from 5:00 p.m.
until 7:00 p.m., at Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street,
Nederland. His funeral service will be 10:00
a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Broussard’s, followed by a private
family entombment at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
