Willis P. Dore, 84, of
Port Acres, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014.
He was born on January 19, 1930, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, to Marie
Blanchard and Oscar Dore. Mr. Dore retired from Texaco Island after thirty-two
years of service and finished the last five years of his career as a machinist
at Sympol.
Mr. Dore is survived by
his wife, Rhona Dore; daughter, Sabrina King; and granddaughter, Lauren King,
all of Port Arthur; and sister-in-law, Vern Dore of Lafayette, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death
by his parents; sisters, Bibian Poche, Sue Sue Hebert, and Anna Mae Breaux; and
brothers, Lester Dore, E.J. Dore, and Eugene Dore.
A gathering of Mr.
Dore’s family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited
at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505 12th
Street, Nederland. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 20, 2014, at St.
Therese the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church, 6412 Garnet Avenue, Port Acres.
Memorial contributions
may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place,
Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
The Dore family would

Dore.
